It works with switch 2, but requires a dongle. You have to have the latest firmware on both the controller and dongle. And when you start the controller you have to start it while pressing Y. The controller has to be in RF mode , not Bluetooth mode.

I have four of those and they work perfectly on Switch 2. Depending on when you get them, you will need to go into the 8BitDo software's settings and enable Beta firmware to get the one that will wake the switch 2 on the latest firmware.

edit: whoops thought this was the pro version. I cant confirm what I said works for this non-pro version
