It works with switch 2, but requires a dongle. You have to have the latest firmware on both the controller and dongle. And when you start the controller you have to start it while pressing Y. The controller has to be in RF mode , not Bluetooth mode.
sounds like a massive pain in his ass to use on switch 2
BT version has seamless switch 2 compatability. Looks like it's on sale for 56$ rn: amazon.com/dp/B0F2H6VKP8
Main drawback is lack of 1000hz polling rate

I have four of those and they work perfectly on Switch 2. Depending on when you get them, you will need to go into the 8BitDo software's settings and enable Beta firmware to get the one that will wake the switch 2 on the latest firmware.
I have this and love it. Just know that the mobile app is hot garbage. 1.5 stars on Ios and Android because it doesn't work. But you can just plug it into a pc and create profiles for mobile with bluetooth. That wasn't abundantly clear when I got it, and I almost returned it. But I love it now.

Hi there,I was thinking if it's compatible to play on iOS call of duty mobile. Do you have any experience with it on playing mobile games?

This works on switch 2 with no dongle. I use it nearly every day. It even supports shake to wake with the latest firmware. I have this controller and official Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and the Ultimate 2 this controller.

AI says these are the same hardware identical layouts except different fimrwares so you just have to flash it. However I don't put all my cards into AI.
What's the actual truth? Surely if you own switch 2 you don't GAF about saving six dollars if it isn't worth the hoops (besides a fimrware hoop).
So after a fimrware update do you really still need to press Y or whatever at boot or does it work identical to the more expensive version?

I haven't tried it with COD, but it works great with the mobile version of Fortnite. I got it so I would have seamless gameplay between my pc and playing games on steam link anywhere in the house, and it has been great. Like, I'm currently playing Ark Raiders, and if I want to play in bed i can play it on my Tab S9 Ultra with this controller and have it set up the same as I use it on the pc.
