These are great sets
I snagged a 65 U8H open box a couple of years ago for like $590

Snagged a 65 U8N for $499 last July and have it as a Christmas gift

I have had an issue with the U8H powering up. Probably a board
I bought the extended warranty and Best Buy sent me a gift card for my original purchase price for the set
It is fine 95 percent of the time
The other 5 percent of the time requires me to unplug it for 5 seconds and plug it back in. Then it works fine

I have yet to buy a replacement. Probably will when I see the open box U8( or TCL QM8) at sub $600 prices

was considering this to use as an outdoor tv that i would keep in my shed (it does get very hot in there) when not in use. I am having second thoughts and am wondering if it would be better to get something less expensive, albiet less bright (with a matte screen) that is in the 300-500 range.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?

Same price at Walmart/BB/Amazon. Who has the best warranty? Walmart is $100 for 5 years, BB is $190 for 5 years, Amazon is $111 for 4 years.
