Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Thats what i did a year ago with this same deal and my iphone 13 is about to unlock tomorrow. (Its been a great wifi home phone and an entry to ios and will take over my outdated s20 temporarily for 1 year. Im doing thr s25fe deal from metro for $100+$55?1month service and will use the s25fe as a samsung dex computer set up until it also uunlocks feb 2027. $155 for a s25fe brand new is a insane killer steal
i also did the s25 fe, just wish there was a 256gb version. 128 is outdated now, it might be obsolete in a year!

When placing an order, does the phone number immediately port over to metro, or does the porting actually start when the line is activated? I have a tracfone line will expire on 2/25 and also the date that phone will be unlocked, I don't plan to renew tracfone line
I have the same question. I successfully ordered the phone, the phone number disappeared from my old carrier's account right after. I read it somewhere that Metro now locks it into its port reservation system. My old carrier line will expire 2/21, but I won't get my phone until 2/23. Will I have problem activating the phone? Does porting actually happen during activation?

Is the Galaxy Watch locked to Metro? Can it be used as a Wifi watch without Cellular data?

there are two stages

the port process begins when you checkout and pay on the metro website. this is when the two companies talk to each other and both agree+confirm the port

your number remains on the old account and is still active. you can use the old carrier service, even if it disappears from your old carrier's website

after you receive the new sim+phone, you will turn it on and activate it. this will complete the port request and actually switch the service over to the new carrier

edit: im not sure what happens if your plan expires midway. id recommend activating it asap using metro's order status page [metrobyt-mobile.com] (as soon as it ships)

I'm trying to order the 3rd phone, but it looks like I can't order any more on my original account. Do you have to wait to get the 2nd line and register that one (daisy chain orders)?

The second phone needs to be activated in order to order a third phone.

Bought a lyca $5 plan ($5.25 after fees) yesterday. Canceled the autopay and deleted my credit card today in case something goes wonky while porting. You will need to install the esim into a spare phone as you will need it to receive the OTP codes to log into online lyca account and again to show your account/pin info

Was able to buy a second phone thru metro (iPhone 16e 99.99+$35 month fee+$8.75 tax). The porting process took about 5-6min online. Waiting to receive phone and activate.
Is it easy to port out from a lyca $5 starter sim? do you need to call CSR? Thanks,

not yet, everything has been done through the online account page (the account and pin number). if activation with metro goes smoothly it's basically paying lyca $5.25 for the middle man fee.

I got 3 16e phones already. want to order 1 iPhone 13, but I am unable to do so. Does anyone know if another family member living at same address create an account and order tote shipped to the same address? has it worked for someone?

No. You're wrong here. I literally had to buy another google number with the right zip code to enter it in. Stop giving false information. 00000 does NOT work. Literally had to waste an hour of my time calling customer service for them to clear the hold with this number and customer service was terrible. Stop giving people false information and try to defending this. I wasted an hour of my time due to your misinformation.
i used 00000 as my zip code, both of my order went through, already got the 1st 13, 16e the second

I called today to have them manually do it as I received mine on Tuesday as well. They said normally 3-5 days.

Like clockwork...got it on Feb 15 last year. Still waiting to see if that gets unlocked in next few days, before I buy another one Smilie. Anyone else in the same boat waiting for unlock? Did it unlock automatically or you had to call them to unlock?

I had two from a year ago and both automatically unlocked on the 366th day. If you plan to use it after unlocking, find your activation date, add 366 to it, and save that date in your calendar. Cheers!
