Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Got the iphone 13 using GV number, activated it online. Said it activated. 2 days later the number seems as if it still hasn't ported as it can't receive incoming calls (goes to GV message). Called Metro on 800 number and they had me do a OTP last night, that worked and they said port was complete. Today same thing, still doesn't seem like the port went through as I still can't take incoming calls. Also haven't gotten the Gmail confirmation of port out message. Anyone else had this happen?
you have to activate the internal esim with the metro qr code, then make a call and CS will make it happen. (in my case)

FINALLY able to order one. I tried the process again (porting from Lyca) and it failed right after payment screen (before confirming purchase). Waited and tried again, and got to the confirm purchase screen, but it failed after that one saying to call in. I gave in and called the number. Spoke to a rep that was able to help, and we were able to make the order go through. So many hoops and issues

I just tried with the new Lyca number and was able to see "Congratulations. Your number was reserved." page. However, after I clicked "Place your order" I was told my security was important. Will calling that Metro 888 number do any help?Edit: I ended up calling Metro and the representative asked for a different credit card and the order went through finally. It's a 30 minutes call.
How to get $5 plan?

yes.

I can receive texts from tmobile metro and other wireless numbers. I can send to wireless numbers.
i can call out. but can't receive calls.

i never called Metro though.

i don't think it matters for unlocking purposes. I hope.

I have already activated the line on Metro, and I have email proof. In 365 days, i expect it to unlock.

Got the Lyca plan and the Account number and PIN. Keep getting the following:

Sorry, we couldn't reserve your number.
We're weren't able to connect with your carrier to get your number reserved. Please continue with a new number, or visit a store to complete your number transfer. Promotions may vary in-store.

I got it like 5 hours ago, will I have better luck trying it later?

Tried the QR code and it's giving me an error message. "This code is no longer valid." Called CSR back again, yesterday they told me everything should be working in 24 hours. Guess what this guy tells me today, "everything should be working in 72 hours." Good ol' Metro.

After getting the dreaded "call us..." message trying to make a third order (on 13, or Samsung watch when it was in stock) for more than a dozen times, I finally decided to call that number - it lasted a bit over a half an hour!
I'm not 100% certain if the order went though. I got an order number from the agent when she finished, but it's not recognized in their system. I haven't received an email notification either.
However, when I logged into my account via the mobile app, there was a place-holder line with the number I just ported in and the add-a-line option was no longer available either.
If the third order succeeds, I'll try a fourth one. According to the iPhone 13 promo terms and conditions, you can get deals up to 4 lines (the fourth line would be $10 only - if it works). But I really hope the Samsung will be in stock again.
Update: the order DID NOT go through. The place holder line has disappeared from my account AND my GV number is "eligible" again. Checking my credit card activities, Metro charged me at the time of the order but immediately refunded me, just like what happens when I fail to order online. The agent who did the order for me over the phone apparently didn't notice it.

Exact same boat. Just curious, have you call them to complete the transfer for GV number before adding the 2nd line? I did that just now. Gonna try again later tonight with different name and cc see if it work.
Didn't need them for the first line. Only having issues with the 2nd line.

I ported a number from Tello into the Helium free plan a couple of months ago. Tried to port the same number to Metro but it got "rejected".

Let me explain a bit more. Metro says the Helium number could be ported. However, it did not bring the cost of the iphone 13 to $0. Instead, it wanted to charge the new number rate of $199.

Another data point: received the iphone 16e Monday, ported google voice, called today Metro port department 800-518-7519 and they manually processed the port in. Received the text confirmation. Went to google voice, number automatically deleted and received email from google that port out request received. Got another number, same voice account, unlocked the number, set the pin, then went to the 16e, turned off wifi, logged in to metro account, went to add a new phone, then $30 lined added, used the unlocked google voice number, account info and everything, went to payment page, used the same card I used for my initial order and then placed order and everything went through.
Super lucky or something. I can't get the 2nd GV port out to work at ALL. Not online on my own, not via chat support, not via calling on the phone... Just stuck. Even tried a separate GV account under my wife's name, separate Metro account, no joy. Always get sent to the damn "call us or go to a store" page.

Even metro reps don't understand and cannot bypass metro's mysterious fraud protection rules. Crazy
