Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

Since google voice and visible won't work anymore, what's the cheapest way to port in for metro nowadays?

EDIT: after reading the comments on this thread, I see that many people are reporting that a google voice number can be ported over to metro again (like the good old days).

Thank you again. Were you able to complete the port when you received the phone? I keep reading how a tracfone number is a problem as it stops as soon as metro initiates the port and is difficult to complete once you have the phone in hand. I have a tracfone number to use so any updates would be very helpful. Thank you
I ported in two TF phone numbers to get the two i13's. It's true that TF lists the line as "inactive" as soon as Metro submitted the correct port-in info. But Metro has the phone number "reserved" at that time, and the i13 got activated with the port-in TF number without problems when it was delivered.

Thanks for sharing these tips. You are a great community member.

So is there any issue with Metro in terms of transferring the Metro eSIM to another phone? That does not violate any rules that will prevent the Metro phone from unlocking in a year? It would make it easier to use up the data I got for my month with Metro.
Yes, He is.

Interesting. I just tried to go onto the Metro site to switch my eSIM to another phone (both the Metro and my current Xfinity are iPhone13) but I get the message:

Your new device is not compatible on your current plan. To complete switching your device, change your plan.

Tried again but same result. So maybe they do limit switching for first month??

They don't limit switching during the first month. Isn't your Xfinity iPhone 13 locked?

Have you done it? I've just tried to transfer Metro ip13 esim to my old pixel 6a, using "Switch Device" in my online acct: "Your new device is not compatible on your current plan. To complete switching your device,
change your plan." Yes, my p6a unlocked, WiFi On, IMEI1-2, EID all ok.
May be I haven't anything right lately>>> Haha. Any tips? Oh. You already did it. Thanks

Two weeks ago I successfully moved the eSIM exactly to a pixel 6a.

I THINK a non-Metro phone uses the $25/monh BYOP plan, which isn't the same as the $50/$55 plan that the i13 uses. That's why you got the message about incompatible plan. I transferred service of my two 13's to two inactive Metro S25FEs and didn't get any error. I have screenshots of before/after the transfer but right now the forum doesn't seem to allow attachments.

The "Your new device is not compatible on your current plan. To complete switching your device" is such a weird error message, I wonder if it is a temporary blip in their system. Either that or they have changed their policy for some reason. But @aphoenix78, thanks for the help!

Well, just rebooted both devices and logged out/in to Metro website, and it went further. No message about wrong plan, but failed instead with "Sorry, we are currently experiencing technical issues - please try again.". So maybe is just a temporary glich

So the additional rule for transfer esim: Must have a compatible plan or the other phone have to be Metro. I got it. False alarm on my behalf. Thanks @hpham_53

I got the "technical issues" error on one day. Tried the next day and the switch device worked.

Well, that's just what I think. Don't make it a rule yet.

LOL, well, we shall see! Actually, I think I know what is going on. I transferred my Metro phones using GV. The ports have not completed yet, and are in the 'semi working' state where I can make outgoing calls and texts, but cannot receive as they go to GV. That may be why I cannot move eSIM. Just a guess. No big deal though. I will report back if I get it solved. Thanks everyone!
