Needed one of these to replace my wood one. Here I thought that was more luxurious, but my kids managed to pee on it hard enough that the paint is coming off and its swelling. Disgusting. Back to plastic I go.

And I'll be sure to 3D print two more "standoffs" so it doesn't crack. Don't know why they didn't put 4 on this. Weirdos.

Bought the elongated in 2023 for our master bathroom for $20. Liked it so much but price has not dropped anywhere close to that until now. Just ordered another for our guest bathroom. No paint, cracking nor any other issues. Like someone else mentioned, got so used to soft closing that I slam our guest bathroom all the time.

Slow close toilet seats are ABSOLUTELY worth the minimal difference in cost. It's one of those things that doesn't seem like it should be that big of a deal but once you start using them you never go back.
