I am going to buy a 1/4-20 MagSafe disc to add to the end. The clamp is sturdy and grabs the phone good. I just want to be able to quickly change from portrait to landscape.
The knobs are what I expect will fail first, they seem like a polycarbonate or light potted metal, but I can hear it when I tighten them that they might give up one day.
I'm hoping I'm wrong and to be sure I am, I won't put the beans to them when I tighten it up. Just give it enough to do the job.
