That said... this 12v Screw driver and the 12v sealed head 1/4 &3/8 ratchet are the must haves in the 12v line. The other tools in the line are fine but i feel over all if want to expand in the same battery platform you do better staying with 20v.
This Screw driver is great for around the house and using as an assembly tool. It has a low RPM and lets you control it even more with the variable trigger and Its very lightweight and small.
Outside of this screwdriver and ratchet stick to the 20v line or get m12 for more compact tools.
Just my opinion any who.

If it is 18v screw driver, it will be too big and heavy, might as well stick to your 18 v impact driver like their dcf 850,860, or 870.
Having said that, I still wish I'd gone with the 12v Milwaukee... Like others have said, the DeWalt 12v isn't expanding and I've found the tools they do have rarely go on sale, if ever these days. Milwaukee goes on sale reliably around the holidays and continues to get new tools.
