Google Fi is offering a strong S26 Ultra preorder discount, especially for existing Fi customers on Unlimited Premium or Flexible, with the 512GB model showing $650 off and free storage during preorder. The phone is factory unlocked, and the deal can be especially compelling if you sell or trade in a prior Ultra, since resale values often beat Fi trade in quotes. The main catches are the 120 day active service requirement, possible 21 day or first bill timing issues for new accounts, and taxes that may be charged on the full price in some states. A good fit if you can manage Fi timing and keep the line active.

I'm debating between 1TB and 512GB, main reason being 12GB vs 16GB. Worth the extra $300? Any real world performance difference that makes it a valid upgrade? I am using 23U 512GB without any hiccups or needing additional storage.

How does moving my esim from my BYOD to the new phone work? Never done it before. Always used physical sims in the past.
It's easy; just activate the phone by downloading the carrier app, and the eSIM will appear.

I've been a Google Fi customer for over four years, and my family currently uses the Unlimited Essentials plan. I contacted Google Fi Support today to see if upgrading to Unlimited Premium would qualify us for the recent Samsung S26 promo ($499 for the S26+ or $650 for the Ultra) posted here on Slickdeals.
The representative eventually confirmed that even if you switch to Unlimited Premium or the Flexible plan, your available device deals remain locked to what was initially set for your account. Consequently, the best discount available on the Essentials plan for me that is set when I log into my account is currently at $450 off:

S26+: $649
S26 Ultra: $849

Despite offering to buy three new phones at the promo price of this deal posting, they wouldn't budge. Complete bummer! I guess I will wait for another deal if one ever comes around. If you want to try your luck, you can reach them at 1-844-TALK-2-FI (1-844-825-5234). Good luck!
I am pretty sure moving up to premium would show the deal after 24 hours as someone posted just before your post. You can try that, if that does not work you can downgrade but that happens at the end of the cycle so you are gambling with one month of extra payment.

I don't think it will make that much of a difference if you are keeping a bunch of games and heavy apps suspended in RAM.

So anyone who started a new flexible account with code can confirm that they see both the 30 day countdown in Fi app and $650 off the price?

I don't use my phone for gaming or any heavy apps. On the hindsight, I'll stick with 521GB/12GB. Thanks for the help

Countdown only works once you activate S26 Ultra.

ok. I see the issue of not getting $650 and only $450.

You must meet the following criteria.
1. Unlimited Premium or Flexible plan
2. Existing customer
Is it possible to upgrade the plan to take advantage of the lower price?

Yes, but I don't need extra data and I'll have to remember to switch it back but it comes out to be about the same price in 120 days. They are one step ahead lol

How much trade in credit? It usually sucks
Trade in credit for my S25+ was $325.
Total before tax for S26+ is $175. Tax in NY was $40.
So all in I'm at $215 for the upgrade.

yes, still the same for me on the flexible plan. $5 surcharge for 911 fee is crazy though in Chicago.
