Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

I broke screen on my S23 ultra a month ago and bought a new S25 ultra to replace it 4 weeks ago. I paid $1000. I just contacted google fi asking to return it and order S26 ultra.. they said nope. They also refused any price difference. Just FYI for anyone else stuck in the situation I was stuck in. I just activated it 2 weeks ago and google fi says tough noogies. Trade in on the new s25 is $325 from them lmao

S26U supports both psim and esim, correct? I have GFi psim so that is what I will use. Thank you.
Yes it does. But when you install the FI app and you don't have pSIM inserted it will create a new eSIM for you and move the service.

Thanks. Based on your earlier feedback. I will insert the psim before I power up S26U...and once it goes thru the initial setup...i will install the fi app and activate the service on s26U. Or I wouldn't have to since it will already be active with the psim.

Thanks for all your support. Haven't tried GFi in a couple of years and I feel rusty. Thank you.

Yeah, you have to run FI app to make sure the app knows about the SIM and the activation is registered etc.

How would I go about activating this phone on eSIM? Is there an option in the FI app?
Yeah, its a pretty seamless process once you download the FI app

The Google and Samsung phones are now supported for many years including low end ones line A36 for 6 yrs https://slickdeals.net/f/19157119
Thanks. I thought about it, and I will go with a cheaper Samsung phone, and channel the saved money elsewhere.

I changed my Galaxy S23 Ultra battery and it now feels like new, should I upgrade to the S26 Ultra? it's very tempting at this price, is anyone going from S23 Ultra to S26 Ultra? what convince you to upgrade?

Google Fi sells all their phones factory unlocked. However, if you're getting a promotional deal, you have to be careful with how you use your SIM cards so you don't void the discount. The golden rule!!!!!!! Once you activate Google Fi on your new phone (whether via eSIM or a physical SIM), do not move that SIM to another device until the promo period ends. Doing so will immediately void your promotion, and you'll likely be charged the full price of the phone. How to use Dual SIMs properly:You can still use two different carriers at the same time without losing your deal. For example:
  • Setup A: Use a physical SIM from another carrier + Google Fi on eSIM.
  • Setup B: Use Google Fi on a physical SIM + another carrier on eSIM.
As long as the Google Fi service stays active on that specific phone, you are free to use a second line from any other carrier for your data or calls.Or if not taking part of any promotions you are free to do whatever floats your boat since you have no promos to void & all phones come factory unlocked.
I have an eSIM on my current phone. So I would need to get a physical SIM to use along with the eSIM on the new phone. I can't use 2 eSIMs, correct?

Same. It should tell you when they will generate the bill when you click on Billing tab. Mine said it will see the bill on Monday.

If you are talking about then new S26U it will be eSIM so you can disable it/remove it. You don't have to reset the device as such as this is a factory unlocked device with no carrier bloatware.
I think it's safer to just keep the eSIM instead of disable/remove it. I'm planing to just keep the eSIM along with my primary T-Mobile regular sim on S26U. I'm paying for the GoogleFi Service for a few months anyways so why not keep it as a back up.
