For those who are new to Fi, steps to become an existing user and
1. Open an account with flexible plan. Use unmentionable code from existing user for $60 credit.
2. Just to be safe, wait for the first bill to be generated before ordering the phone. This will take couple of days. At the very least wait for a day but I suggest waiting for the first bill generation.
3. Once the phone is shipped you need to activate the phone within 30 days. At this point another counter for new user r**f credit is also running down from 30 days. I strongly suggest you wait for that counter to hit zero before you activate the phone. All the counters will be shown on FI app-billing-Track FI saving and instant rebate.
4. Once the phone is activated on FI by downloading the FI app, you should wait for a day for the counter to go down by 1. At this point you can disable/remove the eSIM and use your current provider.5. At no point during 120 days move the FI SIM to another phone (i.e. do not install FI app on any other phone and log into this FI account). Once the counter reaches 0 you can cancel the line or pause it for next deal.
The total cost will be $650 + $25 (plans cost per month including fees) * 5 - $60 = $715

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.
New FI customers can have 512gb for $999
Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters
Cali can go pound sand.

Since then, I've been only occasionally using service, and my service is currently paused.
I see the deal in my app - but should I unpause service before I order, or before I turn on and activate the S26U once I receive it?
Thanks
Have some leftover $$ in the account from a previous referral... Would like to stretch that as much as I can
I just cancelled my 2 1-tb preorders , maybe some one can try and grab if it shows in stock.
I'm seeing the -$650 offer on my account, but I don't currently have any active plan with Google Fi. The site lets me buy the phone with any plan, but I'm not sure if there will be issues with the $650 rebate if I don't activate it on a previously existing line.
Should I first sign up for the Flexible plan and then buy the phone?
I read a couple of comments but I'm still not totally clear. I just don't want to mess it up

s26 ultra with 512gb Preorder was $710 after tax. Referrals are maxed out to $480 in credit so I'm effectively getting paid $140 to upgrade.

New customer sign up for Flex or Premium on BYOD and activate eSim , use code from Reddit for $60 when signing up. I dont think the discount starts until the 2nd month
See how fast $650 existing customer deal takes to appear., I am thinking it will be less than 21 days despite policy... But if it appears the first day of service wait 24 hours before you buy it
I would do it but I am happy with my Flip 7
-- So if anyone is going to sign up and try to become an existing customer , post back if you had to wait the full 21 days to see the deal

I refreshed screen and battery after it cracked last year for $200... I love this micro SD. My pictures and video are max quality but I'm really second guessing about purchasing this thing and just getting a refund on my fi account minus a few bucks...
Anyone else go back and forth?
I'm not breaking the bank but 700 plus Google service and fees... idk...
