which "cheap" phones though?
So if the trend continues this is likely the last year where you can outright trade in last years phone for the new one (yes i know "YoU cOuLd JuSt BuY a MoTo G tO tRaDe In AnD sElL yOuR oLd PhOnE", some people value the simplicity of just doing one or two transactions at a store and washing your hands of the situation, not having to haggle with FB marketplace/ebay buyers to squeeze an extra 250-300 out of the transaction).
I'll proably just trade the s25 on one line for a s26, then trade that same s26 on the other line to get the s26+ and end up with a 25+ and 26+ and just call it a day after that. I was hoping this was the year i could eventually trade up to an Ultra phone but it seems like that not gonna be an option. I've been tracking the spectrum deals for a while and it seems like the only way i'd have been able to end up getting an evenish swap every time and end up with the s26U would've been to go from s25>Flip 7>Pixel 10 Pro XL>s26+> then do an additional trade in on the same line for a s26U and thats IF the S26s are eligible to be traded in before the 700 off trade in ends. even with hindsight that would've only been possible if i would've did every trade in during the pre order period because by the time the new trade in promotion came in (for example by the flip7 came out) the previous phone (s25+ in this case) was already barely enough to get an even swap for it during the pre order period. By the time the promotion was over you would've had to come out of pocket a bit (no more than 50 pre tax) to upgrade.
Moral of the story, All good things come to an end, seems like this is no different. (don't get me wrong this is still a great deal for those interested, just no longer a deal than can really be gamed)
Or... do I have to open new lines?
