i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
That extra $200/$400 for new customers will only apply if you finance the phone and not pay in full??
That is correct. If you find a way to do it without financing (for example website glitches), let us know. I spent 2 hours in store yesterday trying to make it work.
Nope, you are wrong dude. I bought Straight Talk Moto G 5G 2025 from Walmart for $32 and I have tested 3 times by doing factory reset and successfully get into the home page without any issue or without enabling cellular service at all. I did that with or without sim card successfully. I got 2 of these devices. I have sent 1 to Assurant without sim card in it. I understood what you were trying to say. I believe that issue is happening on Moto G Play 2023 or 2024 device, not the Moto G 5g 2025. On the Moto G 5G 2025, the setup process with or without SIM card didn't enforce me to enable the cellular service to complete the setup process at all.
I guess I am using g play 2026 that's why. There was no 2025 stock at my Walmart.

Correct, the Moto G Play really suck; it needs the SIM card installed in order to finish the setup process successfully; otherwise without sim card, it won't allow to finish the setup process. Last year I had to send that phone to Assurant with the SIM card installed. You will not see this issue with Moto G 5G 2025 device.

i've never encountered that.
Was that BEFORE or AFTER the step to connect to Wifi? Did cellular ever show signal bar then immediately went away?
Did you purchase the phone in store or online? Or online order with in-store pickup? It could be something due to they did not scan the IMEI barcode for online orders.
Well, the phone comes with the straight talk sim inside which doesn't even let you connect to wifi. You take that out, then you can connect to wifi. But right after that, it says insert sim or scan for esim. If you hit skip then it says there was a problem, contact carrier. This is for G PLAY 2026.
Spectrum store rep said that trade in phone must be listed on the drop down as doing online. And Moto G play 2024/2025 is not on there. 2021/2023 is on there. Along with "Moto G 5G" whatever that is.

The rep did tell me that they are not allowed to do same day trade-in when I asked. I guess they make it system level. Try again tomorrow and let us know please?
They improve their system quite a bit this year. I guess no more deal next year
Been over 24 hours since I did the trade-in in store, but the $700 still disappears at checkout when trading s26 in for plus or ultra.

Other Motorola MOTO G 5G 2025 64GB
That is what I selected. Just bought a 2025 from Walmart today and it let me go through the setup no issues. I pulled the Sim card out and still using it on wifi. I went to spectrum today but they said they haven't received stock yet and it should come in by tomorrow. I'll try again and see if they take it. If not it's a really nice phone for $30 perfect for a backup wifi device.

Terms say device payment plan. Why exactly did they say you didn't qualify?
When did you guys receive mail in instructions for trade in?
Got in a sticky situation where spectrum store inspected my phone but just chose to tell me to mail it in after paying the full 900$ + tax. I know my trade in device is fine but what if rejection happens after the return window?
Seeing all the headaches in here is just confirming that I should return the second Moto G I bought instead of trading it for a S26 to sell 😂
Happy with the Ultra I already got on this deal, and can confirm that Spectrum Unlimited Plus has higher priority than the basic Verizon plan I have had and hated for a while. Speed testing 5G Verizon basic download speed - 350mb/s first time, then 100/50/20/20/20mb/s, Spectrum on 5G tested 950-1050mb/s every time. This is in a small town at the edge of town pretty close to a tower. In bigger cities my Verizon basic plan goes down to literal dialup speeds (have seen under 100kb/s) and is all but unusable. Years ago it was unnoticeable/never really throttled, the last 4ish have been like this.

I paid $270ish and it was $899 before the trade-in promo. The extra $200 off is for new internet subscribers with 2 new lines.
That's what I figured but wanted to make sure.
