i remember last year, people who did pre-order and mailed in their trade-in's were having issues with getting trade-in credit to show on their account, even after 2-3 months. Think i'm gonna go with trade-in at store again for this year.
can you share the steps setting up the phone? or we can will bring the new phone out of box to spectrum store? do I need to set up the phone before the trade in?
some people like to impress the rep by handing them a new and sealed phone. My suggestion is dont do that. open the device, set it up without google log in. put some finger prints on the screen front and back. You'll get less questions.
- I have been switching to new phone every February for past two years but sounds like something is off this year. Do they only offer the $700 off $699.99 for S26 with trade-in for new customers? Or as an existing customer, there is still a way to get it? Asking because it shows me $700 off $899.99 fir S26 with trade-in which hasn't been the case since last year.
- Also, is it worth going to store and do the trade in, since I missed the pre-order time already?
- Sounds like they have a good deal for 17e for new customers, is there a way to avail that offer as an existing customer?
only new, it's the full price $899 plus tax for you. no way around it. Still a good deal for a brand new s26 for $200-250 depending on your state when trading in a new moto 2025 phone

Agreed. 100%. open the phone, go through all the activation without signing into any account. I load up youtube with ads on wifi on the phones and just tell them the kids didnt like the slow speed when I hand in the phones to trade.
Plus, you get to keep the spare usb C cables that were in the boxes.
Done...

Several people have reported that S26s not working for tradein towards other S26s at this time. People have reported issues both in-store and online with the $700 promotion not applying when checking out.
Got that. No stacking. What I'm asking if I get the s26 and give it to my friend who then upgrades it to an s26+ on his line on a totally separate account will that work? Thread on reddit seem to think so but don't know if anyone has tried. Also, fyi people reporting some issues with android trade in and the instore app/mirror verification system. No problem with iphones.

no, they blocked the stacking of the new s26 (any model) for any s26 (any model) by removing the $700 promotion. It took them 3 years finally, but it's been a great 3 years with ~25 phones with them since the s23 years. Many other SD veterans can attest too. hahahaha

That's very unfortunate, especially since they even list the S26 series in the trade-in device list.
So just spoke with customer service. The rep seemed well informed on the deal with quick responses to questions.Asked her if paying in full vs monthly how is the $700 promotional credit applied. Her response was that it is applied to your account once trade-in is processed, and that you can request the credit be put back on whatever form of auto payment you have on file once in account, whether a bank account or credit card. Expected this answer but her quick response to the question gave the impression that it was an informed answer. Was comfortable with her answers so placed an order. Planning on keeping new phone unopened until trade in credit applied just to be sure but all things considered this is a smoking deal for sure.Good luck all
Can you please update here once you receive the order and credit?
has anyone successfully done multiple trade-in on the same line (as in upgrade) and be able to get the S26 series $700 extra credit? This was possible last year but not sure this year.
Customer rep says that $400 off is on the device payment finance plan which is $19.44 per month for 36 months, s26+. Can I buy the phone on fianance then full pay after I receive in which case it should be $699 or would spectrum ask $1099 if I try to pay off early.

That's probably a question you should've asked the rep to answer. Or what happens if you try to pay in full.

If I pay in full outright its charging $1099 and no $400off but with finance its coming to $19.44 which equates to $699. Rep says if I want to pay in full after 2 months. I would still end the reamaing of $699 and at $1099, but im not confident on rep's words as most of them are clueless.
