Am I missing something? $259 cheaper and 2 years of free phone line only service on top . Just have to be super careful not to turn on data. And need to use a other phone for first 120 days and possibly tether to this one (I did exactly that 3 years ago wth fi).

Comparatively, using shop samsung, for a standard s26 with 256 gb, you get the same price and trade-in value, $30 accessory credit, and the $50 PayPal promo code if you pay with paypal. Slightly cheaper for less memory, including a heavily discounted case or other select accessories.
