I want to be excited about this, but with Phillips being a zombie-brand and no reviews, I'm scared. Edge-lighting and 300nit max are fine at this price point, but anyone have any experience with this? Good deal for low-cost gaming, or an intolerable smear-fest at high FPS?

I've been happy with my 55" 2-year old version of this.
However, the TV is now starting to mess up - I'm having to "kill" the power to the TV about once a week or once every two weeks. At first, I've been flipping the power to a surge protector but my lazy a$$ plugged the TV into a smart plug and now remotely cut the power when needed.
I've seen other people on other threads mention that their Philips TV also started dying at the 1 year mark. Since I don't use my TV that often, I suppose the timing is about right.
75" version is available for $398 as well.
There will be Target clearance soon too. Check your local target this month and next month. It's that time of the year where they replace old TVs with new model. Do check out your local Target.
Last yr; I was able to grab "65 for $200 Samsung.

No local dimming zones. That's the reason it's so cheap.
