T-Mobile 30 day eSIM Trial on T-Life App you can port it out for free. I got 4 phones to use on trials from Straight Talk/Total Wireless deals unlocked in last 3 years.

After get Free Trial Number create a T-Mobile ID: Use the T-Mobile website to link your trial number to a email/profile.

Locate Account Info: Your account number in the "Account Summary" section of the online portal. Generate a Port PIN: Under Settings in Profile

For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

since our second orders comes with one month of service, does the line get auto cancelled Eventhough our first line is good for two months?

Damn, I held off on ordering an iPhone first, and ordered a Moto G Stylus just so that I could add a line for less - and now they nerf it such that it's more expensive than buying a new phone outright with 3 months of service.
where does the extra $120 come from? 3 times the the multiline discount price plus taxes?

Just sharing my experience getting new numbers to port in.

- Helium: Easy, asked for ID. Signed up and transferred out in minutes. From clicking port to activating on the 16e was more than 4 days due to shipping. Tried making another account with different email but ID didn't go through. ~$1
- Tmobile life: Did it through app but couldn't figure out to how actually install esim. I think I accidentally x'd out when it was installing and couldn't get back. Tried creating another profile with different email/phone but was recognized. Free
- MobileX: Same as helium but haven't tried multiple numbers. ~$5
- Lyca: Had to signup through website. Super slow website and they email you a QR within minutes. Need to call within business hours to port out. Haven't tried creating another account. ~$5
I hadn't ever heard of T-Life till just now. Thanks my guy, it's another option for me to consider.

It gets auto-cancelled after the first month of service assuming "auto-pay" is disabled.

Finally got my 16e today. Just have the one 16e and one 13 (metro).

Questions for those who did it, how do I now transfer the line to another device? I have an apple SE sitting here all empty and alone...

And what is the exact process for trade-in? Assume first transfer line, then reset phone, and... then try to trade-in? Never did a trade-in before so apologies if this is basic stuff.

Also checked for online deals, but seeing $140 for another 16e... not really a discount anymore. Assume Metro deals are also dead -- and they are a super pain to deal with. But if I transfer the lines, guessing if anything comes along I can still do it?

Thanks.
do a chat with cricket
type in esim
it will ask what you want to do. just select to switch to another phone
it will ask your phone number. I think it texted me a code to my phone.

then it will ask for the new imei
type it in the chat and it will switch service to the new device

for trade in, reset your phone completely, that includes deleting the esim.

I would set up the phone once it restarts since the apple rep will have to scan some QR code stuff

Thanks. I also read for iphone to iphone we can just do it in the sim section on the phone? I'll have to peek at that. I wonder how many esim slots I have on my SE? Just need to move 2 over, so assume they will fit.

And Metro similar? Afraid of Metro...

asking again: why do you want to transfer the esim to another phone? is it because you want to keep the number for one/two month after trading in the phone, so that you might get a chance to port out if another deal comes along?

Yep! Figure might as well hold onto the number in case I need it later.

Or if this is how it works -- in case a Metro or Cricket deal comes along (has to be soon) where it requires the acct to be active still. If I get rid of the esim entirely, I assume I can't even get into my Metro acct.

Well, partial brain surgery complete. Esim transferred, set up on my SE using QR code, I see the esim in my other phone... but it doesn't seem to let me use it. SOS calls only.

Am I doing something wrong there? Once transferred to my new phone, I assumed I could use the plan like normal. Did I miss a step somewhere?

Did you try rebooting? I had an issue upon initially installing and rebooting did the trick; idk why but it just worked lol

Yeah, didn't work. I also turned off the sim on the other phone just now to see if that was the issue. Maybe I need to delete it entirely from the original phone (16E), then reboot the SE?

Weird setup where neither phone now has service.

Edit: and setting the 16E back to factory made no difference. Hmm... tried the QR code again on the SE, and it says it can't activate it (duh, since it's already activated), but thought I'd try it anyway.

Basically SE has the ESIM, it's activated, all good for data/phone. Just the little problem of it not working.

I'm not sure what went wrong.I did this on an Xr When I put the imei in the chat, the AI responded that it was switching the service to the new line and I saw the 16e not have service and the xr have the cricket service

Have anyone found a way around the unauthorized modified that doesn't depend on the manager's override?

It was similar, message about transferring service, QR code in email. Was told it was activated and service on 16E stopped.

Looks like it should have worked. Just, that it didn't.

Only thing maybe I did wrong was how I set up the SE's Esim? I chose add a new Esim and did the QR code route. Is that how everyone else did it?

I mean it took it, and it's on my SE now. So it did transfer. But it's like it transferred a broken brain.

I still have the Metro transfer to attempt next. Not looking forward to that one...
