I remember buying unflavored pea protein before... it was absolutely horrible. I had to buy another tub of flavored whey to mix it with so it would be remotely palatable.
Whey has a slight milk taste to it, but pea protein tastes like the inside of a filthy barn, if you can picture that.

bleh, this tastes really bad---I will stick to NOW's Unflavored Whey Isolate in the 10lb bags.

If you are vegan, I'd use soy protein, which doesn't taste so bad.
