Have this unit that I purchased after it was featured on project Farm and scored highly. I really wanted the Skil 12v unit to match my Skil platform however the skil was on back order or OOS everywhere at the time. Skil finally became in stock and ordered it immediately. Honestly I enjoy using this one better the the much more expensive Skil. The Skil I always get the battery stuck on the cardboard when cutting and it seems to cut a tad slower than the Worx 4v. I leave the Skil in my garage toolbox and the Worx in utility drawer indoors.

this is for cutting soft materials like fabrics, cardstock and some plastic sheets. Whatever scissors can do, this does it but with a round blade and a motor. I use one when I need to cut a lot of fabric because I have carpal tunnel issues and my hands get tired and will cramp.

I bought this but its not the magic people assume it will be. Even for cardboard boxes, I find it easier to use blade, much faster to just use box cutter or simply push and break boxes and fold them. If you are not recycling and want to toss stuff to garbage then this might help make smaller pieces easily.
I cant imagine using this for fabric, does it really work. Blade doesnt feel that sharp and I'm thinking fabric might get snagged but if you say it works that's great than .

I could have gone without this easily. So if you are on a budget, I'd pass until they have a strong bigger, USB C version.

I have the clone from HF. Box cutter is still faster. This tend to chew and bogs down if the cardboard is soft.

It's a standard plug. Nothing proprietary about it.
