I went down this "best grinder/machine/beans from local roasters" rabbit hole and to me the end result was always pretty much the same as ground grocery store coffee in a $15 Walmart brewer.
I have no doubt that 1% of coffee drinkers can tell a difference just make sure you're one of them. Like when you buy a coffee from a coffee shop and take a sip your eyes roll back and your body stays feeling waves of ecstatic shakes and the world around explodes with fireworks.
Otherwise it's a complete waste of money.

I already had an OXO grinder that does okay on its finest setting. I get Peet's Major Dickinson's Dark Roast from Costco per Reddit recommendation.
The steamer can provide hot water on demand which is nice for Americano or a quick cup of tea. No more waiting for the electric kettle to boil. Also steaming milk for a little hot cocoa for the kids is nice.
I should have gotten something like it sooner. Not a shill, I just like practical stuff.
The milk frothing isn't quite at the same level compared to pro, but at this price point, it's hard to beat. Paired with a good entry-level coffee grinder, you'll be making café-quality drinks at home and won't need to go to Starbucks anymore.
