Thank you for your question about this HP laptop! Since this uses LPDDR memory, it is not upgradable. HP has computer models with 16GB of memory available at Best Buy.

I recommend waiting for a deal with upgradable rams. Last month ebay had this open box that came in looking like new for $196. Cost $30 for the additional 8gb ram, and $21 for an upgraded Wi-Fi card and I had a 2TB memory card.
