Community Reviews
This Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 deal stands out for factory unlocked use on any carrier and a solid midrange upgrade, with Android 14, support through May 2027, and a stylus included. Verizon activation can be canceled quickly in some cases, with chat or phone cancellations completing in minutes and charges refunded, including the activation fee. The main cautions are the required Verizon line and possible billing hassle, plus the phone is already out of security updates according to some comments. The price also appears to have moved up, so the original $99.99 offer may be gone.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, the Verizon line can be canceled shortly after pickup and the phone discount can still remain. Several reports say cancellation was completed by chat or phone within minutes, and one report says canceling within 3 days refunded Verizon charges including the activation fee.
Yes. The Best Buy unit is factory unlocked and can be used with any carrier right away, without waiting for a Verizon lock period.
The device launched on Android 14, is slated for Android 15 as the next OS, and security updates are scheduled to stop in May 2027. It is also listed as receiving at least bi-monthly SMRs updates.
Verizon does a soft credit pull for the activation, so it should not harm your credit.
No, the deal appears to be dead; the price is showing $199 now.
