I'm in, purchased.

Just to be sure everyone understands - People/Pets/Plants MUST BE VACATED from the space when this is in use. The ozone it produces displaces oxygen and can possibly KILL many living things.

This thing is a monster just fair warning. I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm just used to ozone machines that make it gently. This thing makes so much in a small amount of time, just make sure your no where near this thing when it's running. And properly air out when you're done. Close your nose when you walk into the room to turn it off and walk away to let it air out. Or better yet, extension cord and surge protector switch or connect it to a WiFi smart plug to remotely turn it on.

I bought one of these during Covid. Haven't used it in a while, but it did make my car smell better.

Yes, ground-level ozone is harmful to human health and is considered a toxic gas. As a powerful oxidant, it irritates the airways, causes chest pain, coughing, and shortness of breath, and can worsen asthma or cause long-term lung damage. It is particularly dangerous for children, the elderly, and people with respiratory conditions.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (.gov) +5
Why Ozone is Bad for You:
  • Respiratory Damage: Inhaling ozone triggers inflammation of the airways, leading to damage in the lining of the lungs.
  • High Reactivity: Because it is highly reactive, ozone acts as a "superoxidizer," damaging cells and oxidizing materials upon contact.
  • Dangerous "Purifiers":
Ozone generators sold as air purifiers intentionally release this toxic gas, which can lead to high indoor exposure levels.
  • Who is at Risk: Children, older adults, and those with pre-existing lung diseases (like asthma) are most susceptible, but high levels can affect everyone.

How to Protect Yourself:
  • Avoid Outdoor Activity: Stay indoors during hot, sunny afternoons when ground-level ozone concentrations are highest.
  • Avoid Ozone Generators: Do not use air cleaners that intentionally produce ozone indoors, as they rarely eliminate pollutants but often exceed health safety limits.
  • Check Air Quality Alerts: Be aware of local ozone pollution levels.

What are you guys trying to do? The only use I can think of for one of these is for removing smoke smell. Something like mold smell will just come back unless you remove the mold source. This is a terrible idea for pet smells, for all the health reasons stated. It's not something you want to use alot, just get a hepa filter or febreeze for normal everyday smells.

Everything I am reading is that coming in contact with the "Fresh" ozone wont "Kill" ya, not at this level unless your directly breathing it in mouth to fan! It will however irritate your mucus membranes (Eyes and esp Lungs) if you are exposed to it for long enough or have other medical conditions.

Best way to do this is to run it in a room where you aren't recirculating the air out into other rooms and is fairly closed/sealed and that you run this for however time but then don't enter for at least 2+ hours. That timeframe converts Ozone which was ionized from O2 (regular breathable oxygen) into O3 (Ozone) back into regular O2 Oxygen (called halflife?).

Like other have said this isnt airborne that you come in contact and now are "infected" or have long-term issues effects unless you are doing something silly. Let it run, take a deep breath and cover your nose and let that room air out for a while.

It does affect other organic things, kills plants and will surely mess up your pets so dont leave those in and around the machine while running. It also reacts to other things like paint and other things like even electrical wire sheathing, leather etc (anything organic)? Again, i'd not run this in a car or room for hours and hours at end esp without long airing.

It works as you described it is just that if people aren't aware of the problems they could repeatedly expose themselves to the irritant and repeated exposure to anything that irritates skin or mucus can cause cancer! So you won't drop pdead if you breathe some in once but you may have a slow miserable painful death later one if you keep doing it!

Caveat: I bought during the last deal 10 days ago and still waiting for it to ship. Amazon seller is playing the "do you want this" game with the order, not sure if it will actually ship.

Hypothetically, what happens to a person if they ran this every night mistakening it for an air purifier?
Asthma and respiratory issues in reality- o3 is an respiratory irritant
