Idk about all the rough and tumble bad a$$es in these comments, but for kick around farm boots, these are solid. I have 2 pairs. At this price, not sure they can be beat.

Take a seat soft hands. Boots like these are especially common in the oil patch where chemicals and water are present.

They're popular in my field (water distribution) because they're easy on/off for changing into waders or fire boots, the exception being no one would be caught dead in Wolverines, especially not "Wellingtons" that aren't waterproof (which should be illegal).

excuse my ignorance. it's been about 10 years since I switch jobs.

but all my work boots prior have shoe laces..
what kind of work boots are these work in a male strip joint?
Well, in oil field or fields with chemicals etc non-laced boots are common.

Back again to tell you that these are garbage. Just go buy whatever brand Walmart sells currently. The quality is the same and you can actually try them on first.
I thought wolverine was a good brand. what changed?

+1 I've got two pairs of 1000 mile boots and some Wolv work boots. All are excellent. Any clarification on why these are sub-par?

I have the non-steel toe version. They work great for motorcycle boots.

The dude who introduced me to these kind of boots is a super hard workin', blue collar, low key, family man that don't take no crap from anyone kind of feller. I seen him put more hard work and miles onto a pair of these than most of these hipsters talking down put into their high end fancy kicks.

For your type of work, waterproof boots makes sense. Keep in mind waterproof boots barely breathe, if at all. In hot southern climates, if you're not working in a wet environment these boots are perfect to help reduce sweaty feet. Redwings and these types are what we wore in Texas. The leather wore well/relaxed over time and got really comfortable. The fact they have a removable footbed is really good for those of us that have orthotics. I typically tell people to size up half if you have custom orthotics which are typically thicker.

I ordered these. Shipping taking long time. Over two weeks and counting.

The 1000 mile boots are probably fine but these wellingtons tear up really easily. My last pair lasted 1 year and 1 month before the thermal liner tore. Wolverine refused to replace them. Terrible service and disappointing since I used them mostly casually. Couple of weeks of work and they gave out.
