Reviews are not compelling. Sounds like a problematic unit being offloaded. No thanks.

Never buying a Cuisinart again. Have owned two separate models, both of which ended up having loud rattling noises (common issue with this brand) after about a year. Avoid at all cost.

My TOA60 ($120 bought from Fry's when it used to be a thing) lasted 5 6 years, the function knob just stopped working so I just bought this one, rather than fixing the switch.

I've had my Cuisinart air fryer oven for almost 5 years now. Still going strong.

I have heard that the left knob (the timer one) is the one that might fail. To prevent that, I switch it from air fryer to the toast function to stop it from air frying (instead of turning that left timer knob to off).

Same here. The buttons and knob on mine started glitching. It happens especially often after the oven gets hot–they either don't respond or will randomly register double inputs. I want to take it out to a field and put it down Office Space style.

Mine vents out the back if on too long or on too high heat. It causes my smoke alarm to go off

Is this normal?

I got it lightly used

I don't think that's normal. I've never had mine setting off my smoke alarm.

However, I do place it under my stove vent (on top of a large cutting board) whenever I air fry something on high heat for a long time (for example, pork chops).

I've had this model for about 3 years now, and it came in as the replacement after my ongoing saga with the digital version of the same brand. Not once, but twice. That one had a fan that slowly gave up on life, and to their credit, Cuisinart replaced it under warranty. Round two seemed promising until the digital knobs decided they had their own personality. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't, and when they did, they would jump 2 to 8 settings at random. It turned every use into a small game of chance. Want lightly toasted bread? Too bad. You are getting air fry on full blast, and you will like it.

After getting this model: turn a knob, here a ticking sound, and BOOM... you have toast.
Thinking about picking up a spare just in case at this price LOL

Didn't like mine.
Toasts good... But so many basic missing features.

Also the light stops working when you open it.... There's a light button... That auto turns off, when you open the door... Like the opposite of a fridge...dafuq?
Timer keeps going when you have door open to flip things but the timer is useless... Want to air fry for 7 min? Put it between the 5 and 10 and my digital timer says it goes off at over 9 min... Same with temp.. and a separate timer for toast vs everything else.

Well constructed, toasts good, but was not "tested" with a real kitchen for feedback

https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-Convection-Toaster-Options-Stainless/dp/B09HSWBTN4/ref=sr_1_1?crid=... [amazon.com]Very similar model at Amazon has good reviews it seems but the controls at the top can certainly lead to heat issues?

Looks like the power button is on the other side
