I've been using this phone for almost 2 years and it's been very satisfactory. For me, it's usually at 50% charge by the end of the day. I would do this deal, but I already have another phone I got from another deal on standby.

Before purchasing a Motorola phone research the glance app that comes pre installed. I just purchased 3 moto phones and I had to switch them all to Samsung because the glance app interferes with the medical app I need. Literally a potentially life or death situation and Motorola will not do anything to help.
U can just disable most of the moto apps, and u good to go

No idea where the confusion is, but this phone is an unlocked device and NOT locked or linked to Verizon/ATT in anyway. The device can be used as any other unlocked device from day1. This is just a bundled offer where on gets $100 off the phone's price with a new line activated. Please refer to instructions in OP.
There is no question of using it as wifi device or anything - unless I am missing anything here.
Why are you replying to me? I am not confused on anything. I have 4 of these phones I grab everytime they are under $50. They are all unlocked, all work with different networks as needed.

I was just pointing out that they do, as all phones do, work with wifi calling if you don't want to pay for cell service, and that they also work as a backup phone if you use the free google voice service, making them a great low cost backup option.

Obviously a lot of people don't realize that, as they keep asking.

Go to Settings>Apps>All Apps> three dots>Show system Apps. find Glance and Disable it.
I can't find that guys original question, maybe he deleted it when he realized he was wrong.

But, for anyone else: don't enable it when you initially setup the phone. (I had to look up why I didn't have this 'Glance' app on any of my Motorola G power phones and this is what I found)

During initial phone setup on supported Motorola models, you're often prompted to enable it (e.g., "lockscreen reimagined"). Once on, it activates every time you wake the lock screen. You can customize topics, and there's an option to toggle it via Settings > Display > Lock Screen > Glance for Moto (or similar "Smart lock screen" setting).

Can you explain this? I just don't have the glance app set up. Exactly how does this interfere with your medical app?

The abomination that is the Glance app. Can't normally uninstall through phone settings/ manage apps or disable (it's keeps re-enabling itself). I found a reddit post that said to uninstall you:
1) phone settings/manage apps/force stop, 2) then disable, 3) go to Google Play > Manage Apps > Select the Glance app and there should be an uninstall option that should actually work.
Worked for me on a 2025 Motorola Moto G...
I think this just uninstalls updates.

I'm a sucker for a cheap/inexpensive unlocked phone to pass to a family member when their old phone breaks. In for 1. Hopefully Verizon doesn't trip about the immediate cancellation

My bad, apologies. I might have quoted the wrong comment.

Hard credit pull required. I'd rather save that for credit card signup offers... More $

hmm, so hard pull not worth it.
Nope, soft pull, was worth it for me. OP is somewhat misleading to include $40 activation fee as part of total price since cancelling within 3 days removes that from total cost so phone is actually $40 cheaper than OP makes it seem as long as service is cancelled within 3 days.
