This is a really excellent fully upgraded plan with unlimited high speed data, and most regular Verizon customers should absolutely consider choosing Visible instead for potentially significant cost savings. We have successfully used our smartphone as a hotspot multiple times when our regular internet service was down. There are no extra data charges for high speed streaming, without any throttling whatsoever, while using 2 laptops and a TV. The regular cell service is good, too. Keep in mind that Visible is owned by Verizon and runs on Verizon towers preferentially, so don't choose this service if coverage isn't great in your area. And YES, the price will go back up at the end of the promotional year, but Visible will wait until very near the end of the period and then offer another promotional price at the last minute. We choked and ported to Tello so that we could port back in for the newest promo price but it was completely unnecessary. They offered us a new promo about 10 days before the expiration of the yearly service. Also be sure to look for Cash Back opportunities from applicable credit cards and shopping sites when making payment.

Yeah it charges the full price for another year at the end. I did last year when they had and shows next payment for 450

For current visible customers: I'm currently on the same discount plan. Does visible offer deals to current customers or is it what you see what you get pretty much?

I know I can just port out my number but I have several fios discounts applied that don't like each other, so im really trying to avoid that.

Man. I almost signed up. Currently paying over $100 month. Everything sounds good until I ready hotspots are capped at 15 Mbps. I do remote work on the go sometimes and would hate to have sluggish speeds when I'm working remotely. I know 15 Mbps is doable, but if signal is spotty, I worry it will be noticeably less.

If unlimited high-speed hotspot usage is a dealbreaker, a budget prepaid carrier likely isn't the right fit for you.
