Yes, that's silly. You don't want to use the same blades for a table saw and miter saw. You want high hook angle teeth for the table saw to hold the material down to the table and low or negative hook angle teeth for the miter saw so the blade doesn't pull itself down into your cut. I think it would be a real rarity for me to share blades between them.

I own the DWS779 but I wish I bought this. The axial glide is a huge space saver depth wise. So if you're keeping it in your garage and space is a premium go for this. If you're wheeling out into the driveway or patio to make cuts the dewalt works just as well.

I just draw a pencil line across the board using my rafter square, then bring the blade down to test fit before I pull the trigger to make the cut. Old school process that works. Dont need no stinking laser or shadow box.

I bought this. I've got a 36v 10" Makita that I love from a looks perspective but I want to go back to corded. Love the slide design on the Bosch. Have always wanted one. Now I have one.

Just brought it home from Lowes. I really wanted to like it but it would have to go back. The wings of the table are about 1/64 below the surface of the table which means you cannot clamp anything to the wings. I thought about sticking some psa backed sandpaper to the wings to make everything level and get a nice grip for the clamp (other than that this issue cannot be solved short of milling down the table surface). This alone wouldn't make me want to return it but the second problem is worse: the blade is at a slight angle to the direction of pull, about 1/50" variation from edge to edge. This means on long cuts the cut edge of the piece would contact the blade disk. There are no adjustments to fix this. Worse yet, setting blade at 90 deg to the fence would mean the actual cut is about 0.1 deg off. May be ok for rough carpentry but not for furniture building. Boy, the thing looks so slick though... And the price was great. Oh well.
Also, it is still $449 at a local Lowes (in TN) and they still have one for sale.

i am jealous of those who are getting this one now. I bought a 10" model last year. The best miter saw ever.

Any "deal" for Lowe's is always a scam. Just clickbait.

Care to elaborate? I am not being sarcastic, just trying to learn something new. I thought I got several deals from Lowes and if this saw were well made, this would be a deal for me as well (then again, it may have been my bad luck, others may have gotten a fine tool at this price). What makes them a scam? Price not good? Returned items they resold as new?

I just returned mine too, didn't even open the box. I should have read that it weighs 65lbs, my current 12" sliding Bosch miter is 45lbs and it already a beast to move around. If anyone around Rancho Cucamonga, CA is looking for one, just returned it unopened today.

I can understand that logic. Not really sure why someone would thumb down your comment tho. Bizarre
I didn't thumbs down but I guess someone could because you shouldn't use the same blade from table saw in miter saw and vice versa

I appreciate the responses, even if there is a thumbs down. I gotta learn somehow!

If any of you have not yet unboxed your saw, I suggest you do so within the return period. I just unboxed mine and one of the glide arms was cracked right at a ball bearing point luckily for me my store had one left in top stock and was able to exchange it for me.
