i don't own this particular bag but i do use their raptor MTB pack and sling. The lifetime warranty is great from osprey. I've used it a few times without any issues. They even let me choose a new color if i wanted to.

Love mine, but the red interior of the blue bag makes your eyes water with how ugly it is. All of them should have the grey interior of the black bag.

I own this bag. I love it. Be warned it is ONE big pocket, besides the laptop pouch and sunglasses pocket. You'll need some organization on your own; packing cubes, Ziploc bags, or just dig through a pile of stuff when you need something. If you're a built-in organization person, this bag is probably a pass for you.
40L is a big backpack. On my last trip a friend of mine asked, "Why is your backpack so big?" For comparison, a "standard" Jansport backpack is 26-28 liters. Just know what you're buying.
The cinch straps, chest strap, load lifters, and waist belt are all very welcome features from Osprey's outdoor heritage.
For the record, I paid about the same price as this deal. (I paid $120 with a coupon for $10-$15).

For the most part. The 40L bag in the 55L set will not have the laptop sleeve.

If you're looking for maximum space - this is pretty for a "carry-on" and much to big as a "personal item" for the most restrictive carriers.
