Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

Seems to be hit or miss but I believe it states for the promo that you can only trade one time per line. I have been seeing a few people here and there saying they could trade more than once but YMMV.
I couldn't trade a second time on same account. I had to open a new line for trade in. I m not sure if I should order online or not

I just traded in 3 hours ago, I checked if it would allow me to trade in again on the same free new mobile line that I opened earlier and it's letting me with the $400 discount off with the $700 pending mail in. Consistency is not there I guess.

I did 3 yesterday. No issues. I bought Att prepaid 128 GB moto G 2025 version. 1. It was cheaper at Walmart and 2. They gave me $10 trade in, instead of the $5 for the tracfone version.
do you have the link for this version of phone at walmart?

was anyone successful in upgrading twice? first to s26+ and then ultra?
I upgraded the line today and when i try upgrading U, i can see the "Trade-In Value($470.00) + Spectrum Promotion($700.00)" till last page, not sure if i should go ahead
(worried because - trade in page says - "One trade-in promotional offer per line.")

How much was the 128gb Moto G?

Got a 2nd S26+ on the same free line today, promos worked out fine but the damn mirror test took awhile, they have to get the camera REALLY close for it to pass. The rep who helped me also happened to be the manager, said he's gonna trade in his S25+ for this deal tomorrow.

How did they still take the trade even though it failed the test?
They were able to skip test and gave it $1 value. They did it for me.

They skipped the test entirely on my A15. Long line. Just said he approved it and skipped it. Have email saying "Your trade-in is complete" and a PIF receipt 🤷. Pro tip. Make an appointment through the store locator. Nobody else did. There was 11 people on the walk-in board when I left. And they're all porting in and transfering data etc. The line moves super slow.

I went to a local store earlier today to trade my new Spectrum S26+ for an Ultra, but I was flat-out denied. The representative explained that the $700 promo credit automatically disappears at the final checkout stage when trying to trade any S26 variant for another S26 if you have already redeemed that credit for the S26 series. He noted that this restriction applies whether it is an upgrade or a new line.

However, since he mentioned I could try a different device, I successfully traded an old Moto Stylus for another new S26+ on the same line on which I had previously traded for a S26+ with the $700 credit. It seems that while an S26-to-Ultra trade is restricted once you've used the promo, you can still get the $700 credit multiple times—even on the same line—as long as you are trading in a non-S26 phone. So, now I have 2 S26+ traded on the same line, both unused; will be using them one at a time once any of the 2 Ultras and 1 iphone 17e on my 3 lines are unlocked. If a path to trade for Ultra with current promo pops up, will go for that.

I recall in the thread somewhere someone mentioning the same even for a new line - no $700 for s26+ to ultra trade. Has anyone confirmed this using a new line recently in store, after the promo was updated?
