This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.
I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.
Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.
In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)
On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.
So all in was $59.92.

Mine was created on May 13, got a message from Spectrum yesterday that they are still working on it.
I'm seriously thinking of canceling the 3 lines that I'm paying $20 for prior to the 15th. Kind of shady to the sales rep that was so cool and the manager that gave me an extra $400.
Your right either a phone call or chat. I was able to suspend them through chat very easily and they are off my bill for this next month. They are suspended for 90 days.
Now will see how unlocking goes.

Are you going to put your next phone to be unlocked on the free line or try getting it unlocked without putting on free line. Geez next time I have to figure out how a lot of you managed to get so many phones on the free line. This promotion wasn't very long but I'm thinking some of you purchased at a higher price before?
