No. $400 off the top. S26 Ultra is $899 already (not $1299). Get a cheap prepaid phone (I have a Galaxy A03s), they'll give me $5 + $700 promo credit = $705. My total will end up being $194 + tax. Pay in full. There's no way I would give up my S25 Ultra in this case. It's worth more selling on the private market.
I did this a month ago and got an S26 the same way. I'll do the S26 Ultra tomorrow on the same line.
I do in-store, though. Sales tax is applied differently (since your trade-in is evaluated and applied right away) as opposed to doing it online and waiting for the promo credit to hit.

No. Pay the cost of the phone at checkout, send in your trade-in and you'll get the FULL value applied to your account. You can call/chat and have that credit applied as a refund to your credit card.
If you're paying in full, there is nothing involving "3 years" at all. It's paid.

Yes! And it's MUCH better. At least in TX and many other states, you make out a lot better because you only pay sales tax on the amount AFTER your trade-in is applied.
If you do it online, you pay the FULL sales tax of the device and the credit is applied later, no sales tax refunded.
I will literally save something like $95 doing it in-store rather than online.

Yes you can close the internet and keep the phone line until the phone is unlocked. You can also consider moving the internet to new apartment if you would like to continue the internet.
The new apartment does not have Spectrum. Only allows XFinity.

Upgraded internet? Can you help me the process how it works?
I upgraded the device on a mobile line. Which means you don't have to add a line to get this deal.

If you try to get this shipped to you in store you have to return the device the box that it came with. they wont take the trade in store. Also the rep told me I can do this deal once in store and after that once online for each line. I wanted to open up 6 new lines but it seems like they limited me to 3 of these promos in store and the system wouldnt let them place a new order.
How will you get them unlocked? You have to have 60 day service on them to unlock them??

Thanks for the update. The reason I'm asking is that we'd be moving away from the current apartment and will have to close Spectrum account. So I was wondering if after paying off full amount and receiving trade-in bonus, I can close the internet but keep the phone line until the phone is unlocked.
You need 60 day service with internet

If you cancel internet, how much they will charge you for a free phone line?

That is what they told me at the store. Now if that is true or not ? Take at your own risk

I have some questions.
1. I am a spectrum Internet user but I don't see it in my account yet? So not available for me?
2. Is it unlocked? Can i cancel the service as soon as I get the phone?

I was on chat for a long time. I placed an order and it didn't show the $700 . I was told it was because that line had already received the $700 credit . I got the s26 a month ago. Looks like you can't upgrade to s26 ultra. If it's a new line it should work.
Same. I did the S26 deal and when I went to the store today, rep told me I can't upgrade the same line to S26 Ultra. However I can open a new line and take advantage of this deal.

So to be clear, because I still don't understand fully, if I go in store and choose the pay in full option, I have to pay in full and eventually I can get the full credit refunded back to my card? Or do all the discounts stack in store and reduce the overall cost automatically so that I'm only paying the remaining cost of the phone/tax?

For anyone wondering, you cannot xfer in a 2nd sim yet while the device is locked. Which is annoying if you are trying to keep your existing number and service plan. I was hoping to run them side by side since I already have prepaid for a year. Kind of annoying I won't be able to use the device for 2 months until I can get it unlocked. Is thjere any trick to getting Spectrum to unlock it sooner?

Went in-store yesterday and got the s26 ultra for free on my free line that I had already been using. I also did get the deal for the s26 base the day it came out on this same line that I activated that day, but I didn't trade in the s26. Traded in the s25+ I had. At first I was told I couldn't get the $400 off because it was only for 36 months credits. He even showed me the e-mail they received stating that, but I showed him that on my account when I add everything to my cart, it shows I still do get the $400 so he gave it a try anyways and it worked. It was $400 off the ultra, $700 the trade in deal and $250 for the s25+ so it came out free and also got about $20 of credit after taxes. Not a bad deal I would say.

I just had a chat with the rep and she confirmed that the account wouldn't be charged if you've already received the trade-in bonus and you cancel the internet after that.
