Chrome closing new tab

Started today after a Chrome update. When I click on a link from slickdeals to open a deal, it opens a tab then closes it immediately. I already disabled adblock. I don't see the Chrome popup blocked icon. I don't know what is blocking it.

I haven't seen any other reports of this issue come in yet. The only time I have personally experienced this issue is when I have had adblock on.
Is this still happening? Can you please double-check that adblock is off for Slickdeals?
