Well, it's 3kWh. Check your last utility bill when you weren't using much heating or a/c. Divide 2.4 by your kWh usage for that month and then multiply that number by 30 days. Thats how long it will last.

Example: the average home in the US uses 900kWh in a month

2.4 / 900 = 0.00267 0.00267 x 30 days = 0.08 days or 2 hours

Now, you can't use this to power your home since (a) it only has a 120V output, and (b) you can't "plug" this into your electrical panel (safely). OTOH, if you had a backup fridge (1kW/day), your internet router (~12W) and small server (mine is ~38W), some plug in LED lights, and some minor appliances...sure, it will probably keep you going for 12 hours

that all depends on your runtime and power output. Is your house a small data center, or do you have 6 light bulbs and a fridge?
If you have a fridge, Wi-Fi, lights, and fans, you could probably get 15-30+ hours depending on usage***********.

I build my own DIY power station and made my own cable. So I knew what you meant. But that only for a big and many batteries system. If you built a system 2 batteries like I mention above. You don't need to make your own cable.

Here are the items list I do for less:

  1. Buy 2 set battery cables: short cable for series connection and long cable for connect to inverter
    One set 1ft 4 AWG $10: https://www.amazon.com/ZONBANG-Ba...WBZ92&th=1
    One set 2ft 4 AWG $16: https://www.amazon.com/ZONBANG-Ba...WBZ92&th=1
  2. OPTIONAL: Buy a battery disconnect switch $12:
    https://www.amazon.com/Ampper-Bat...vE4RA&th=1
  3. OPTIONAL: Buy a 3 shelf cart $29:
    https://slickdeals.net/f/19428453-3-shelf-auto-drive-professional-detailing-cart-29-free-shipping-w-walmart-or-on-35?src=frontpage
  4. Buy one extension cord TRIPLE OUTLET 10 gauge 8 feet for connecting with OUTPUT and INPUT TERMINAL of inverter $9:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CV4ZY...haWwy&th=1
  5. OPTIONAL: Solar Panel Disconnect Switch 50A PV $25:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GMC6P...RhaWw&th=1
The 3 OPTIONALS are your choice. If you could build one or don't need one, so don't have to buy. The 2 must have are the BATTERY CABLES AND OUTLET EXTENSION CORD.

****************************************************

HOW TO CONNECT BATTERY CABLES AND INVERTER:
Just tight down few battery bolts with screwdriver to connect batteries with inverter. INSTRUCTION HOW TO CONNECT TWO BATTERIES 12V IN SERIES WITH INVERTER: https://ibb.co/G47396cz

HOW I USE EXTENSION CORD CONNECT WITH INVERTER OUTPUT AND INPUT TERMINAL:

FOR INVERTER OUTPUT TERMINAL:
Cut the CORD END with TRIPLE OUTLET about 18 INCHES like this picture: https://ibb.co/B5JZpGzY
Strip the wires and connect to OUTPUT TERMINAL of inverter. BLACK WIRE is HOT OR LINE. WHITE is NEUTRAL. GREEN is GROUND like this picture: https://ibb.co/21RxppFs

FOR INVERTER INPUT TERMINAL: Charging Battery or use grid power/gas generator
You got left about 6.5 feet with wall plug end. Strip the wires and connect to INPUT TERMINAL of inverter like this picture: https://ibb.co/bg5C9YR8
Do you know these answers based on this unit and possibly adding to it?
Reps to anyone who knows and answers. Can this be used to power appliances while being charged with solar or plug in? Can these survive the heat or cold of leaving it in an rv or car without burning it down? This can power a whole 30 amp rv right? How and what kind of extra batteries can be used with this? Can the regular car port charge this?

First, This Gendome Power Station is the ALL-IN-ONE unit, which included BATTERY, INVERTER, SOLAR CHARGING, and MONITOR together. Most people like to use this for HOME and easy to move around the house with wheels on bottom. But it is really expensive, because you paid for company build it for you.

In your case with RV, you have to BUILT IT YOURSELF like most people using RV today. When you built it yourself, you could do whatever you want with it and it's cost less. You could go to youtube and check out those people built the RV SYSTEM to get an idea.

RV Solar System Installation:

Upgrade RV from Lead Acid to Lithium Battery:

My instruction how to built DIY Power Station above is helping you get the idea how connect BATTERY + INVERTER + SOLAR PV together. But in RV, you put them in different places. So you need to run cables longer to connect them together. But the general ideas are the same.

OK, let me answer yours question:
  • Can this be used to power appliances while being charged with solar or plug in? YES
  • Can these survive the heat or cold of leaving it in an rv or car without burning it down? YES
  • This can power a whole 30 amp rv right? YES
  • How and what kind of extra batteries can be used with this? If you bought 2 batteries like I mentioned above, you are good. Most people are use the same amount batteries that you purchased.
  • Can the regular car port charge this? I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN BY THIS QUESTION. EV CHARGING OR SOMETHING ELSE? PLEASE MORE SPECIFIC AND DETAIL.
After I watched many videos RV installation with inverter, I noticed that RV POWER is little different with HOME POWER. Home power is using 120V or split phase 240V. RV power is only using 120V, and all RV has a CONVERTER, which convert 120V to 12V for charging 12V battery and power some electronic devices in the RV.

THERE ARE 2 METHODS PEOPLE INSTALL INVERTER TO USE IN RV:
  1. FIRST METHOD: is the EASY ONE, and I recommence this for people doesn't have many DIY and electrical skill. This method is running power cable from INVERTER OUTLET TO THE RV PLUG like this picture: https://ibb.co/Ldxjwy9X
    Here is videos demonstration:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNJtXY15ksI
    OR
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekA39_o3jDA
  2. SECOND METHOD: is more advance. If you don't know about electrical or DIY skill, it is DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS to do. This method is running electric wire directly from INVERTER OUTPUT TERMINAL TO RV BREAKER BOX.
    Here is video demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrUH4NqJqMc
NOTE: When you use inverter to power your RV, you MUST TURN-OFF CONVERTER BREAKER. If not, it's going to drain your battery.

1 MORE IMPORTANT THING: is DO NOT FOLLOW those video YouTube to connect YOUR BATTERIES WITH INVERTER. Most people are using 12V INVERTER for their RV. But if you bought the POW.MR INVERTER 24V like I mention, you MUST FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTION above to connecting your batteries in 24V SYSTEM. So it's compatible with the INVERTER 24V.

The regular "cig" outlet is the car port I was wondering can be used to charge this bank while driving. Also you said a ton above so I'm not sure what you mean by getting 2 batteries. Most people use what amount of batteries? thanks and repped

NO, CIGARETTE 12V OUTLET IS NOT ABLE TO CHARGE THESE BATTERIES.

My instruction to built POWER STATION with POW.MV INVERTER 24V + 2 BATTERIES 12V. So you have to CONNECT TWO 12V BATTERIES IN SERIES CONNECTION TO GET 24V. So it's compatible with 24V INVERTER like this picture: https://ibb.co/G47396cz

Most people are using 300Ah battery 12V in total. When you calculate into WATT HOUR: 300Amp Hour Battery x 12.8Volt = 3840 Watt Hour. If you bought 2 batteries Eco-Worthy 150Ah 12V like I mention. You get the same amount 3840 Watt Hour like most people are using for their RV. So just using 2 batteries right now. If you want more battery, you could add it later.

NOTE: When I show you the picture link, please watch it. Because that is instruction how to do.

I dont know if anyone answered, but could you connect this to another system to either charge or add battery power to a backup system? So basically:

solar panel ------> Gendome --------> Anker F3800 Plus ------> Power switch to the main house

Obviously adding 3000W would help powering the house during an outage, but Im not sure how these things work.

What's with all the people asking about using this power station to power their house?

This power station has a usable capacity of just over 2600W/h, that's 2.6 kW for 1 hr. It's not for powering your house, that's not what it was designed for. This is for powering select appliances at home, in an RV, or another portable applications. If you want something for powering a whole house setup, this isn't it.

Because powering a house can be as simple as maintaining lights or powering the fridge during an outage. You're right, this item wont power the range or A/C. But this can buy hours of essentials and add to existing systems.

You could plug your fridge directly into this outlet during an outage, that's the purpose. This power station wasn't meant for you to jerry rig it to your home's electrical grid or piggyback onto an existing system. There are power stations that can do that, this isn't one of them.
