I went with the Energizer Ultimate Lithium when they were previously on sale (these were $16 in February)

Stay away from airbag locations like dashboard upper area and seat belt channels. The trim above car windows often covers a side curtain airbag.
Headrests and front seat upholstery can have air bags too.
Instead, check in the rear of your vehicle's trunk / hatch. See if you can wedge an AirTag under side trim. Look around for a removable access panel to hide these behind.
Lastly, when you have finished hiding, take / print a picture or make a drawing of the hidden location and put that with your vehicle ownership papers.

My only complaint is I wish they had a place to put the battery cover. So it doesn't get lost
