Interesting... Says who? A lot of people talk very positively about this rice brand.
I think this is still 7|8 / 10. For dishes with lots of gravy or curry, basmati won't make a significance.
In general you should avoid pressure cooking basmati rice - since this is for long grain & fragrance.
For steam / open container rice or Biryani, we prefer Dawat, Khazana or Royal Chef's secret but this price is worth to bite.
This is a bottom tier basmati rice brand. Good for everyday use no doubt. But if you want fancy, visit your local Indian or Pakistani store for better options (longer grain, more aroma).
I got hooked on the extra long grain from a local Indian store.
This is still the brand basmati I buy regardless of store. Costco, Amazon or local "Desi" store.

Whatever subject on here, there's always a couple xxx-xnobs who know better. In this case the rice-snobs have come out.
What tastes good to one person can be opposite to another. So ignore the snobs.
My feelings exactly, I bought them yesterday. Perfect deal too, cause one bag will go to my moms house and one to my house without me having to divide it up.
Khazana Basmati 20lbs, Item 1324476, available in SF Bay Area. $21.99 for 20lbs.
Grains are long and cook up fluffy.

Like others says Royal is ok. Not bad no good. For many years our family we grew up eating it buying at Sam's.
The better ones are Daawat #1, Kohinoor close second, then Khazana as well from what I've tried. The Samsclub Royal and Costco Zafrani is meh. Wish Costco still carried Khazana basmati
