Still seeing posts from ignored user

5,266 May 1, 2026 at 10:04 PM
Was advised from staff to "Ignore" a user to stop seeing their posts. I did it, but I'm still seeing their posts. This happens on both the website and app.

The ignore feature only works on comments, not threads. It also doesn't work on quotes of their comments.

If you are still seeing their comments (not threads) please feel free to send a screenshot into [email protected] and we'll try to look deeper into this.

I agree SD needs better filtering options. I'd like a menu where I could say, filter out posts/threads from any user with, say, under a 17% posts to rep ratio (I.e, a user who's posted 6,000 times but has less than 1,000 rep points). It would clean up/raise the quality of my SD experience for sure. Otherwise what's the point of post counts and rep points if there's no way to filter out the unhelpful posters? It doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to implement since the data is already there (and public next to every single post every poster makes).

I set up filters to block games, pets, and kids stuff the other day and now the filters are gone. Using a PC not an app.

What is an alternative to stop seeing a user spamming reposts that staff is refusing to deal with? The user's reposts are inflating the new posts I see, thus the posts of actual new deals is greatly lowered.
