Total Wireless Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 8GB/128GB + $40 Base 5G Unlimited Plan $40 + FS. No port-in or id verification needed.

https://www.totalwireless.com/buy...25-prepaid

Steps to follow:
1. Choose Total Wireless Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 8GB/128GB Blue
2. Choose the option 'Free When you purchase & activate on a phone plan'.
3. Chose the 'Total Base 5G Unlimited $40' plan and add to cart
4. You can choose guest checkout (that's what I did)
5. Fill in address and payment details
6. Phone will be discounted to $0 and no tax. Only thing to pay is $40 for the first month plan
7. Do not opt for autopay

Screenshot of my order summary attached

No port-in or shady ID verification by 3rd party (veriff) with selfie and ID scan needed unliked other total devices.

The phone is permanently locked to Total Wireless and will only unlock after a year of service with Total hence not a good option if you want to unlock. However for $40 it's a decent wifi-only device with good specs. Even the 2026 variant uses the same processor (Snapdragon 6 Gen 3), and RAM.
In the past I have been able to successfully rebrand total devices to tracfone. YMMV

So unlike metro, this requires a full year of service to unlock (instead of metro's one month of service and just waiting for the rest of the year for it to unlock)?

Correct, if you want it unlocked get it from Metro who is offering the same phone but for their $65 plan first month. Cancel the service and wait a year.

Yes. That's y, as I mentioned in op, it's probably not worth if one needs to unlock it.

Yes, not good deal unless you plan to use it on TW or another Verizon Value brand for a year.

treat this as a wifi only device. Full year service is required to unlock which is very expensive.

I've had this phone for a little less than a year and it's been great. If mine broke today I'd be buying a replacement for full price, no doubt. If you plan to use total wireless anyway, this is a no brainer

Does anyone know if it will unlock (after 365 days) if I have an active tracfone service (3 years of service remaining) and convert this device to tracfone and move my number over to it?

Metro Unlock Policy: https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...4Gbki5mVDd

Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:
  • The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
  • The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
  • Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date.
In summary, same device available via:
  • Metro for $65 ... auto unlocks in 365 days, continuing the service after 1st month/initial payment not required
  • Total Wireless for $40 ... will never unlock unless paid for 1 whole year of service (which is not worth)

No it needs to be activated with the new service to start the timer

You should just pay the extra $25 and get from Metro at least it auto unlocks in 1 year
