add the ratchet as the free item and you'll see the price of each item in the cart, you just return one of the items and get the refunded value stated on the receipt.
multiple ways to do it... either buy both, then return the item you don't want, or do pickup of the items at different stores, then don't pickup the item you don't want (call and cancel the item pickup after you get the one you want to get you're refund faster.) the second method, just need to make sure items are in stock at both stores.
also, side note...
still not a "hack", it's just returning an item for the value clearly printed on the receipt. same as it's been for over a decade.
