My only complaint is that on High it seems to sometimes glitch out and turn off and studder. Either of the slower speeds it runs fine all day. I replaced one that I thought was defective and the new unit does the same thing.
I wonder how many days this could run with like a 6ah battery lol
With an 8Ah battery, I ran mine for 27 hours on high and it still had 1 bar left on the battery. It is more powerful than the 18v, of which I also have. The high on the 40v pushes a lot more air, than the 18v, but we use both when traveling, as we like to have a fan when we sleep. These are portable and great for travel
I'm going to have to check on this at my local Home Depot. I have a couple of their 18v fans but no 40v. I do have a bunch of 40v batteries for yard tools.
Did you end up buying this? How does this compare to the 18v clamp fan? I ordered this 40v one but they delivered the 18v one instead. Not sure what to do...

If you had to pick one for every day use, would you use the 18v or 40v?

Fan speed is not that different. Run time is drastically longer with the 40v. One thing to remember is that the 40v sits on a flat surface or hangs from an integrated hook. There is no clamp. If the clamp is useful to you stick with the 18v. If the longer run time is more important go with the 40v.

I only have one 40v battery from my mower, while I have half a dozen of 18v batteries bro

Sorry it took so long to get back, but I use the 18v more, because it's lighter. If staying multiple days in a hotel, I take the 40v
