I've watched Chris Kimball at atk then milk street. He's a knowledgeable guy but he's probably just slapping his name on stuff. The knives are probably decent enough especially if you sharpen it regularly, most manufacturered knives are but not sure if it's a hot deal. Henckels is the lower line of Zwilling. The knives are made in Spain instead of Germany and the steel is probably cheaper.

Henckels used to be a great brand. In recent years they have cheapened the brand with a new line of cheaper quality product which I believe this falls into. The GOOD Heckels line has 2 men in the logo whereas the CHEAP line has one man in the logo.

Henkels Zwilling are still great brands of products made in Germany. To offset costs and popularize the product to lower cost families, Henkels has degraded their production by moving to China and India where their lowest quality knives are made. If you see one Zwillinge, then is made in China (poorest quality), India (second poorest quality), or Spain (best quality of them). If you see two then is made in Germany forged in ice. To add complexity to the matter, Henkels started making their products stamped and with laser, which are much much cheaper than traditional forging. For some people it works, but for my family and I does not and only will purchase their professional brand and that's it. The post is not good, it has made cheap and marketed like the professional.

Forged and not stamped so that's good. Not sure about that 200 MSRP though. Seems inflated.

Not great knifes. I suggest to shop around and pick up better knives for working around the kitchen.

If you don't care about looks, you probably do better for the $17 Tradmontona 3-knife set at Walmart. Or one of the cheap IKEA sets.

7" Chef's knife is a bit on the small side.

See several posts about the Twins meaning the product is made in Germany. That used to be true, but not as of late. Bought a pair of kitchen shears, and a Santoku from different retailers over the past year and both have "made in china" on them. You need to do your research and if avoiding Chinese made or wanting German quality without being duped it high on your list, you definitely need to dig deep and don't rely on old adages.

single stick figure on the knife illustrates subpar quality. double stick figure is the real deal.

Best purchases I made in the 90s after I married were quality Wusthof and Henckels Twin Select knives from Germany. Bought matching knives through the years, I like the timeless "Pro S" style, which both brands make, which is easy to mix and match. Everyone in the family uses these knives every single day and they're as good today as they were when I bought them 25-30 years ago...and there's no reason they won't last another 30 years. The lifetime warranty gives me that peace of mind too -- I dropped a 9" chef's knife on my tile floor and it shattered the handle, and Henckels replaced it no questions asked.

Henckels International in this deal is not the brand you want. The metal is thinner, stamped and not forged (there's a reason the photos don't show an angle that shows the thickness), and there is no bolster to protect your hand from the uncomfortable handle-end edge of the blade while you're cutting, and the balance will be off as well. These are the types of knives that you'll find in a timeshare or an AirBnB where the owner wants to provide something nice, but doesn't care if somebody breaks it or steals it.

Most importantly, there is no warranty on Henckels International knives. So that tells you all you need to know about the quality.
