Jollibee is, in fact, a fast food place from a "developing country." The food is meant to be cheap and fast but also offer some nourishment. So what would this kind of establishment be doing at this side of the pond? They are probably for people who grew up having eaten at this establishment and have not returned for a while and just want to taste something from home.
As someone who grew up in Manila and moved to the US at 17, when I first walked into a Jollibee here, it definitely felt like home. In fact, if you walk in, close your eyes, take a whiff and take a listen (during rush hours), it's very close to home. And sometimes, that's worth the $30 I'd spend there.
Will I go to Jollibee for good pasta? No. Will I go there for good burgers? No. Will I go there for good fried chicken? Honestly, maybe.

They keep on sending me $10 off $30, but I would rather go Popeyes/Church's ... or even KFC on Tuesdays.
