Bad deal. The 2019 one was $30 before and worked great. Reading Dune on it right now.

Woot refurbished was $70 for the 32GB this time last month. Not sure what Amazon's refurbishing company does better. I just assumed the parent and subsidiary companies use the same 3rd-party refurbisher).

FYI, 32GB is guaranteed to be the signature edition (no ads, brightness sensor, wireless charging). 32GB is overkill, and I didn't need those other features but it was a small premium to possibly get a better condition than the cheaper models that may be more likely to be poorly treated. I assume more 32GB owners used a case compared to 16GB owners.

You can definitely get older ones for cheaper and they work great but the biggest advantage for me with the 2021 and newer models is USB-C. The older ones still have micro-USB which is wild for a device in 2019.

Be careful with the older ones because mine just stopped being supported by Amazon so I can't get any new books for it.

Yes but they are black and white screens. KOReader is the third party reading app that most people install after jailbreaking and I believe it supports comics fairly well.
