It takes what already was a very easy game, and dumbs it down into kid mode, so that there is absolutely no challenge whatsoever working your way through the main storyline. I breezed through every boss battle like it was nothing.
About the only semi-saving grace is that there actually is a postgame where you can fight all the earlier bosses again, but this instantly jumps the difficulty from way too easy straight to dang near impossible with no ramp-up, catching you mostly off guard and unprepared for it.
A more challenging main story option is what this game really needed, and this remaster failed miserably.
