Want to mention first... I'm a current Ultimate member. I've read the conversion can be different for current Ultimate members versus new members. I've even read where folks have recommended letting your subscription expire before renewing to get a better conversion rate. I DON'T KNOW if that is actually accurate or still true after recent price changes to Game Pass; I never tried it myself.

Having said that...

It appears as though the conversion to Ultimate is ~105 days:
https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/he...onversions

I just bought multiple Xbox 12 month Essential codes and they were stackable and converted at the rate above (actually between 106-107 days for me for each code). I think this works out to about $19.36 a month (after taxes, etc.); assuming my calculations are correct.

Hope this helps.

Replying to myself to help others possibly. It looks like adding Essential to my Premium ending in a few weeks only ends up with a 2:1 ratio, so 12 month code only gives 6 months.Waiting until my membership expires, then adding the Essential code(singular), then converting to Premium by adding 1 month for $1, should then give the 2/3 ratio, or 8 months for 12 month code. I say singular because Premium has a conversion cap of 12 months, meaning I'll have to go through this process yearly. Ultimate allows 36 months total conversion time, which is how they should both work but don't. This is all so unintuitve and such an absolutely stupid way of doing things imo.Decent deal if it fits your uses, but annoying for sure.

How much time will that give converting to ultimate? I expire next month and want to convert some.

Dumb question, this is a regular subscription right, it's not like buying someone else account 🤔 the title for me is confusing sounds like I am buying a US account

Yes Newegg is selling a code to add the time to your own account. They never sell stuff like accounts.

According to Google it'll approximately 4.8 months or 146 days if you convert to ultimate. Which isn't bad cause you'll be paying $15.75 for each month plus some extra days.

Isn't the regular price now $23/month? I'm not sure it's worth saving $3.64, but I guess it all adds up.

Thanks
Can this code be used multiple times?
Does anyone know if I buy 2.
Will they stack so I get 2 years of Game Pass Essential?

I'm only using Premium these days, not Ultimate. So if I'm correct, $63 for this 12 month Essential will convert to 8 months of Premium at the 2/3 rate, or just under $8/mth. Anyone weigh in and let me know if this sounds right? Also I'm assuming I can stack these codes, only looking to buy 2. It's always worked in the past but things are always changing and I never really trust what used to work.

It has worked this way in the past. Stacking codes from most places has been allowed. Curious if anyone knows if that's changed.

Oh that sucks. The code works for up to 5 at once it says, so I did 2 and took $34 off total. Still haven't added them to my account to see if they stack OK.

According to Copilot it converts at 45%, so you would get 5 months and 2 weeks (164 days). The math is slightly different if you are currently a subscriber.365*.45
