Plenty of nerd discussion on the LGOLED subreddit. To me its negligible like most tech upgrades these days. Faster gaming refresh rate, brighter, etc. I wouldn't upgrade a single gen.

That'd be nice, as it's on my short list for my upgrade, but Greentoe puts $3800 at the 50/50 shot level right now for the 83". $3000 is about a 30% chance. But that's probably your best bet right now -- maybe you'll get lucky!

As someone who owned a G3 and now owns a G5, no. The only reason I upgraded is because I got a significantly better deal than this and was able to sell my G3 for a handsome amount of money - otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.

It's pretty easy to become a partner. I have it through corporate perks, which a lot of companies have. But there's also a workaround using Mozilla Firefox, for everyone, that you can look into.
