(Although I do use them daily, I don't abuse them. No excessive use. Coddled inside an Otterbox Defender case. Etc.)
I've gotten used to getting $50-100 tracfone specials (8gb ram + 128gb storage) with their $20-25/month plan....so when month 24 rolls around, I thank the telephone for its service, and actively search for a replacement. That gives me 12 months (aka one holiday cycle) for any super-sales. And now I have TWO phones -- a new one every 24-36 months, and a gently used spare (in case something goes horribly wrong with the new one).
It's not my fault that companies don't make devices that last 6-8 years. It was mobile telephones which first coined the term "planned obsolescence".

Phone. Yet they say this is not a contract, BS
1. This plan's data is deprioritized
2. The average speeds on this plan is 25-40mbs. You are not getting full 5G or LTE speeds. This is a terrible data plan unless you have specific needs that can deal with severely throttled speeds
