Well, Lowes has this for $10 at my warehouse if ordered online, or picked up at the store. Home Depot has it for the OP's price of $5.... so, Home Depot it is. Really prefer the Ortho granules for no other reason than when I pour the Triazicide product into my spreader, a cloud of Triazicide dust comes up in my face if I'm not careful of wind direction. The Ortho product is more stable in that regard. That said, they both have been equally effective, and this sale is half the price of either brand, so Spectracide wins. Thanks for the heads up OP.

Not a SlickDeal - price is same as all the big box stores.
It's HALF the normal price. I've been waiting months for this sale. If nearly half off doesn't seem slick to you, don't buy it, but why crap on the OP's post.

Spectracide Triazicide is highly toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates, meaning any chemical runoff into storm drains or nearby waterways can quickly devastate local aquatic ecosystems. For domestic pets, ingesting the dry granules or walking on a wet, newly treated lawn causes pyrethroid poisoning, a risk heightened by a peanut-hull base that may attract curious dogs. Additionally, the insecticide is lethal to beneficial pollinators like foraging bees and can harm birds that mistake the unwatered granules for food.

Here is a safe alternative, non-toxic to pets and the environment:

this stuff will kill good insects too, that help your lawn.

Unless you have a problem, i'd hold off. The one thing that can hurt your lawn the most (in my area, NE USA) is grubs (eats grass roots)... this does nothing to them.

Picked up some today. My location was unaware of the 10 bag limit listed online so I bought 20.. The sign were they were stored had the original price and not the sale price. They rang up with the sale price.. Midlothian VA. Since this doesn't seem to have a shelf life, I will probably pick up more since I have a very big yard at multiple homes

This kills the crickets in my lawn which is why I get it NE USA. There's so many where I am that this helps control them. If I didn't put it, they would be everywhere including inside the house everywhere. I don't need billions of crickets.

If you've got a Menard's nearby, they've got their insect control on sale as well. It might actually be a better deal too.

Does the Menards variety work well? I've historically used this Spectracide product but wouldn't mind saving a $1.00 hah!
