This Switch 2 bundle is mainly a way to get the console plus a redeemable choice of one game, with the code scratched off in the box and redeemed in the Switch 2 store. The strongest appeal is convenience for buyers who already want the hardware, especially for Mario Kart World, Pokemon Pokopia, or other Switch 2 play. It also works with existing Switch games, and the console can be bought through Nintendo using eShop funds. The main knock is value, since the bundle is often described as only about $20 cheaper than buying separately, with some concern about the higher $500 price and limited launch library.

Do any of you know if the code expires? I bought this for my kids but would like to wait for Christmas if possible, I'm willing to open it and hide it if the code expires but If it'll be good until the end of the year I'd rather wait on it.
Trying to decide which of the 3 games to go with, I'm leaning towards Mario Kart World personally as that's what I think my kids would enjoy (the auto steer and accelerate I think are helpful for them they played it recently at a friends house) but is this a game that comes on sale regularly? I like to buy physical copies if possible.
Believe it or not I actually bought Mario Kart 8 for the Switch as well as Zelda Link's Awakening and Breath of the Wild but never got around to buying a switch (I have a SlickDeals habit, but who doesn't). My understanding is that those games should work just right out of the box. Which is the only reason I might steer away from buying Mario Kart World (Did 8 Support the auto steer / auto accelerate?)
I am going to go hunt for Super Mario RPG as I loved that on the SNES and I believe it was re-released/re-mastered for Switch?
Sorry to necro the old thread here, but Costco had an additional 5% off on the cards for their Member Week so I pulled the trigger.

I got Pokemon Pokopia and LOVE it, but it's very much a single player experience. DK Bonanza should have Co-Op. Otherwise, Mario Kart is a tried and true multiplayer game. A digital copy might be a good option too, since the cartridges are small and they could get lost if kids are playing it.
